Our Hotel Kristall is just 150 metres from the ski slopes of the Ski & Glacier World Zillertal 3000 - ideal for a relaxed start to winter fun, without the need for a car. Hikers and mountain bikers also appreciate the location: The Almbahn cable car is just a few steps away and the Hintertux Glacier can be reached in just a few minutes by car.

Panoramic hike & mountain brunch at our mountain hut

Once a week we accompany you on a guided hike to the hotel's own Troppmer Alm at 2,000 metres. Once at the top, a lovingly prepared mountain brunch with fresh alpine cheese, homemade butter, savoury sausage, crispy farmhouse bread and much more awaits you. Most of these specialities come directly from our Tyrolean mountain farm.

Troppmer Alm: enjoyment, glacier views & cosiness

In winter, our Alm is a cosy place to take a break for skiers, winter hikers and connoisseurs. Tyrolean classics such as cheese dumplings or Kaiserschmarrn pancakes taste particularly good in the warm parlour or on the sun terrace. In summer, a hearty brunch awaits you after a guided hike through the Zillertal.

Experience one of the most famous high-altitude trails in Tyrol: from hut to hut, past steep cliffs and green alpine pastures, the Berliner Höhenweg offers breathtaking views, impressive mountain passages and the romance of Tyrolean huts - a real adventure for experienced, hiking-loving families and mountain enthusiasts.

The Via Alpina leads right through the centre of the Zillertal. Hike a varied section of this legendary route and enjoy high-altitude trails, blooming mountain meadows and impressive panoramic views. Whether as a couple or on a family holiday with children - the Via Alpina offers suitable stages for everyone.

Across sunny alpine meadows and gentle hills, the route leads up to the 2,762 m high Rastkogel. It is one of the most beautiful panoramic peaks in the Zillertal. A 360° panorama with views of the Hintertux Glacier, the imposing three-thousand metre peaks of the Zillertal Alps and gentle mountain meadows awaits you at the finish. An experience for families with older children and hiking enthusiasts.
