The Zillertal Nature Park is one of the most popular hiking areas in the Alps. Come hiking in the Zillertal and take part in all guided hikes for free. Discover the famous long-distance trails such as the Berliner Höhenweg high-altitude stage or a stage of the Via Alpina, or head up the 2,762-metre-high Rastkogel and enjoy the majestic views of the Zillertal region.
If you’d prefer a more leisurely hike, you will find easier trails along the mountain lakes and streams, as well as places to stop for a bite to eat. In Finkenberg, very close to our hotel, you will find the Glocke reserve with a nature trail. Learn about the area’s plants and animals while you hike through the Tuxbach Gorge.
The Finkenberger Almbahn cable car takes you to the “Naturwelt” reserve at 1,800 metres above sea level. The fens in this reserve create a unique biotope in the high Alps. A guided hike along the alpine chalet trail gives you a look at the traditional agriculture practised at mountain farms and leads to the Vallruck alm hut at 2,132 metres above sea level.
