A highlight for kids is Murmelland at the Kaltenbacher ski chalet. Whilst kids are observing the marmots, visiting the petting zoo or having a ball at the playground, parents can rest and enjoy delicious Austrian food at the sun-drenched chalet.
Flowering alpine meadows: summer in Tyrol
The steep mountainsides in the Zillertal valley transform into seas of flowers each summer, fascinating adults and children alike. The blooming of alpine roses in early summer is especially famous. We enjoy showing our guests other treasures of Tyrol’s mountains, such as the Schleier Waterfall or the Hintertux Glacier, on guided hikes.
Winter fun for guests young and old
Our four-star hotel is especially popular with winter holidaymakers. The surrounding Ski & Gletscherwelt Zillertal 3000 ski resort and its 227 km of slopes, 59 ski lifts and cable cars and 30 ski lodges is the largest ski region in the Zillertal. The local ski schools offer kid-friendly ski lessons. The Tux-Finkenberg holiday region features plenty of variety with four natural toboggan trails, ice skating rinks and sleigh rides. A special highlight is the “Nature Ice Palace” in Hintertux - a world made of sparkling ice crystal.
